Marilyn vamps it up as a streetwalker resting her legs. This was photographed on the back lot of 20th Century Fox and the image is another favorite from the "Hooker" series, which is well-known worldwide. Madonna copied this likeness in creating her look for the Like a Virgin promotion.

The Oriental sitting

At Milton's studio, this unpublished image which was part of an editorial for Look magazine on oriental gowns, completes an oriental motif with an embroidered ottoman, folding dressing screen and a Pekinese dog.
