This portrait was taken at Milton's studio before Milton and Marilyn, the two shareholders, announced the formation of Marilyn Monroe Productions (MMP) at a private cocktail party in New York City. The image was restored and then published for the very first time in 1995 as the cover for The Archives book,
"Milton's Marilyn" .

Bus Stop Sitting
Arizona, 1956

This rare, one-of-a-kind candid photograph was taken in the bleachers while Joshua Logan, Marilyn and Milton were reviewing the site for the rodeo sequences in the film, Bus Stop. The original was a 35mm Kodachrome which, until its recent discovery and restoration, had been lying forgotten in the bottom of a file cabinet and had never been seen by the public.

Marlene Dietrich
NYC 1952

Marlene met with Milton in his New York City studio to exercise her right to "approve the photographer." After a short interview, she not only approved, but came away admiring Milton's sensitive manner. This well-known image first appeared in an August 1952 issue of Life. In 1997, Life re-selected it for publication in their anniversary issue as one of the "60 Photographs That Changed the World." In 2000, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris chose to make a print of this image part of their permanent collection.
