Milton H. Greene was born in New York City in 1922. While in high school he began his photographic career as an assistant. He was at the top of his game as a fashion and portrait photographer when he met Marilyn Monroe on assignment for Look magazine in 1953.
This release of the European edition of Miltons Marilyn is only available in the United States in our signed and numbered Limited Edition Box Sets. All of the images in the book as well as the accompanying print were restored by Miltons eldest son Joshua. He started the Milton H. Greene Archives in 1994 and has remained committed to the restoration and preservation of all photography.
The detailed work is done pixel by pixel on the Apple Macintosh platform with Adobe Photoshop software. The enclosed print is on Hahnemühle's Albrecht Durer watercolor paper and is printed with the Hewlett Packard Designjet 5000PS and UV inks. The life span of this ink and media combination is rated at a minimum of 200 years.
The Archives will limit the total quantity of Box Sets to 1000, which will be made up of 4 sets of 250. Each set will contain a different Marilyn print. This edition is entitled Red Sitting no. 9
