AZ-42 / Marilyn Monroe / LA / December 1954These pictures were first found in 1994 while producing Milton's Marilyn and some were included in the book, but this one, (one of our favorites), has never been exhibited or published until now. What's humorous about this picture is that, in order for Milton to take it, he had to ride. Being a kid from the streets of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, riding horses was not as natural as playing stick ball. Just imagine a New York kid with striped shirt, slacks, and Italian loafers taking these photographs while balancing a camera, controlling the reins, and hanging on for dear life. |
