BC-3 / Marilyn Monroe / Connecticut / February 1955

This is one of the sittings that Milton and Marilyn did while Marilyn, hiding in self-imposed exile from her public, was living with the Greene family in New York. Milton, Jay Kanter, and Irving Stein sued 20th Century Fox to gain Marilyn’s release from her “slave” contract. They won, and a month after this picture was taken, she appeared in public for the first time in a year. This newly restored image has never been previously exhibited or published.
