MD-102 - Marlene Dietrich

Coming to Milton’s New York studio in 1952 to exercise her right to "approve the photographer," Marlene not only approved but admired Milton’s sensitive manner after just a short interview. Marlene’s feline prowess and Milton’s one light style created many striking photographs. A well known image from this sitting was not only selected by Life in 1997 as part of the ‘100 Most Important images of the 20th Century’ but has been selected to be part of the permanent collection of the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie.
