Back Row from left to right: Murphy Bennett (Sammy Davis Jr Road Manager), Altovise Davis, unknown, Jack Haley Jr.
Middle Row from left to right: Martin Scorsese, Liza Minnelli, Milton H. Greene
Front row from left to right: Julia Cameron, Amy Greene, Sammy Davis Jr.

After the run-away success of Taxi Driver, Martin Scorsese went on to direct New York, New York, his first big-budget major motion picture starring Liza Minnelli and Robert De Niro. The above photo was taken in 1976, during a break in the filming of New York, New York and not long after the release of Taxi Driver. Seen in the photo are Milton and Amy Greene, Sammy Davis Jr and wife Altovise, Martin Scorsese and then-wife Julia Cameron, Liza with then-husband Jack Haley Jr., as well as Sammy's long time Road Manager and friend Murphy Bennett. Here, the camaraderie of these friends is on full display. Sammy and Liza were much more than friends, they were a part of the Greene family.
